MOCVOO F62 Foldable Drone with Camera: A Beginner’s Dream or a Disappointment?
Drones have become increasingly popular, not just for professionals but also for hobbyists and beginners. The MOCVOO F62 Foldable Drone is one such product that promises to deliver a fun and accessible flying experience. With features like a 1080P HD camera, real-time WiFi FPV transmission, gesture control, and long flight time, this drone seems like a great entry-level option. But does it live up to the hype? Let’s dive into the details based on customer reviews and experiences.
Pros and Cons: What Customers Are Saying
Ease of Use and Beginner-Friendly Features
One of the standout features of the MOCVOO F62 is its user-friendly design. Many customers praised how easy it is to set up and fly, even for complete beginners. The one-key takeoff/landing, altitude hold, and headless mode make it simple to control, especially for those who are new to drones. One reviewer mentioned, "The quad drone is very easy to set up and very easy to fly. It has bright lights in the front and rear, which helps with knowing which way the drone is facing."
However, some users found the controls to be a bit tricky, especially when using the camera. One customer noted, "Using the camera is very tricky, and after a couple of weeks, the plastic started melting from overheating." This raises concerns about the durability and long-term usability of the drone.
Camera Quality and FPV Experience
The 1080P HD camera is one of the main selling points of this drone. While some users were satisfied with the image quality, others found it lacking. One reviewer said, "The quality of the image is bad, but I didn’t expect much for the price." On the other hand, another user appreciated the real-time WiFi FPV transmission, which allows you to view the drone’s perspective directly on your phone. "Through the App and your connected phone, you can make videos or take photos, and they are stored on your iPhone or Android," they shared.
Durability and Build Quality
Durability is a mixed bag for the MOCVOO F62. Some users reported that the drone held up well during flights, while others experienced issues with the motors and overall build quality. One customer mentioned, "The motor on the right front started making a noise within about 3 flights, and then it started flying poorly." Another user had a similar experience, stating, "The plastic is melting from overheating after a couple of weeks."
On the positive side, the drone comes with propeller guards and a semi-hard, padded carrying case, which adds a layer of protection during transport. "The propeller protective cover can reduce the damage caused by collision to the propeller blade, making it more durable," noted a satisfied customer.
Flight Time and Battery Life
The MOCVOO F62 comes with three 600mAh batteries, providing a total flight time of up to 30 minutes. This is a significant advantage for a drone in this price range. One reviewer appreciated this feature, saying, "Equipped with three batteries to supply more fly time! Easy to replace." However, some users reported issues with the batteries, such as swelling after the first charge. "The first charge on the battery made the battery swell up, and it no longer works," shared a disappointed customer.
Customer Service and Support
One area where MOCVOO shines is its customer service. Several users praised the company for their responsiveness and willingness to resolve issues. One reviewer shared a heartwarming experience: "I contacted Mocvoo support and explained what happened. They offered to replace my quad drone at NO CHARGE! How awesome is that?!! This level of support can make a big difference, especially for beginners who may encounter problems.
Final Verdict: Is the MOCVOO F62 Worth It?
The MOCVOO F62 Foldable Drone is a mixed bag. On one hand, it offers beginner-friendly features, a decent camera, and excellent customer service. On the other hand, it has some durability issues and inconsistent performance, particularly with the motors and battery life.
If you’re a beginner looking for an affordable drone to practice with, the MOCVOO F62 could be a good option. However, if you’re seeking a more reliable and long-lasting drone, you might want to consider other models with brushless motors and higher build quality.
In conclusion, the MOCVOO F62 is a fun and accessible drone for casual use, but it may not meet the expectations of more experienced users or those looking for professional-grade performance.

Comments from Amazon:
While I was hopeful based on some reviews, these type of drones with brushed motors are just not reliable. While it worked, it worked well. But the motor on the right front started making a noise withing about 3 fights and then it started flying poorly since it was struggling against a lower speed rotor. It just got progressivly worse. It was my third similar type experience with these kinds of drone. Went with the brushless Bigly Brothers drone that has brushless motors for about the same price. Time will tell, but already, its a world above in power and quality.
This product is worth the purchase and is pretty easy to control. Only defect is it doesn't hold up in heavy/hard wind. Other then that I have a ball playing with it.
worked ok at first, but a little hard to control and using the camera is very tricky. However, after a couple of weeks the plastic is melting from overheating UPDATE- the sellers offered me a replacement or refund and I took the replacement since it was a gift. The replacement came quickly and it works fine, noting the remote with the replacement did not work but the original one works with the new drone so I am happy
The only thing good about this is the padded container it came in. The instructions are worthless, they only give the basics on flight control. The first charge on the battery made the battery swell up and it no longer works. The drone would take off, but it would just slowly spin in circles while slowly moving, keep mind, I was not moving the joysticks. It just moves however it wants. There were no calibration instructions, the buttons on the front of the controller have no labels, so no idea what those are supposed to do. I was able to get the camera setup via a crappy app, but because the drone wouldn't respond to the controllers I was too busy chasing the damn thing down to pay attention to quality of camera, quessing, substandard since everything else is not great quality. Returning for a refund and will look around for something better.
! Didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a drone. Really surprised at how great this one worked!!!
Thank you MocVoo / XUYIWEI Toys! Quad Drone -- I bought the Mocvoo Quad Drone with camera because the price was very affordable and I could use it without much fear, to practice flying quad drones, increase my skill and confidence level. The quad drone is very easy to setup and very easy to fly. It has a decent size (about 8" - 9" diagonally measured), and has bright lights in the front and rear, which helps with knowing which way the drone is facing, for controlling it. It also has built-in Wifi (for connecting a phone - you download an App) and, yes, a manually adjustable camera. I set mine to look straight ahead. Through the App and your connected phone, you can make videos or take photos, and they are stored on your iPhone or Android. The drone comes in its own semi-hard, padded carrying case with the quad, transmitter, 2 batteries, a USB charging cable, 4 blade protector / guards, some spare blades and a screw driver. Again, setup was easy - you simply unfold the quad's arms, charge the battery, and install 3 - AA batteries in the transmitter, and you're ready to fly. Awesome Customer Service !!! As I mentioned, I wanted this quad drone to practice with, as I am a beginner. On the 6th day of owning it, I took it out to fly and was up probably 60ft - 75ft, just hovering and looking at the horizon through my phone, when a still breeze came along. The quad started to drift and I became disoriented and lost control. The breeze carried the drone off and it flew away and was lost! My nephew and I searched for 2 hours in the park, and we were even able to reconnect to the quad drone's WiFi several times - I could even see video, but could not locate the quad. Finally I could no longer connect to the quad's WiFi, and it was lost. I now had the case, accessories, transmitter, but no more quad. Thinking that I would need to purchase everything again, I contacted Mocvoo support and Xuyiwei Toys and explained what happened and asked it they could give me a discount on a new one. Well, to my joy and surprise, they offered to replace my quad drone at NO CHARGE!!! How awesome is that?!! My nephew and I are so happy! This is way beyond my expectations, and I will not hesitate buying other products from them! Thank You So Much!!
