I ordered 2 identical drones. 1 came as I ordered, the second came without a camera and without a phone holder on the remote control.
I ordered this for my nephew’s birthday, thinking it would be a fun toy for him to enjoy. However, it didn’t last more than a few minutes before we saw some problems with its ability to hold its own weight when being airborne, falling to the ground from a foot or two, and breaking. This toy is not cheap ($59.99 at the time of ordering), and I expected it to last more than a few minutes of use. Furthermore, for a toy supposedly designed to be able to take a fall, this was even more disappointing. I am ordering a replacement with the hope that the new one is better quality and we received a faulty one. I will update my review if the new one is free of the same defects.
This toy grade drone is made with a pretty robust frame, brushed geared motors and can take videos/ pictures. The drone comes with 2 batteries that should give you about 8 minutes of flight on average each and charge with the included cable. Binding is simple and the wifi app let's you use your phone as a screen. The drone has three speed modes and even on the fastest is still relatively slow and gentle to fly. Even though it's a little bigger than some other toy drones, this still should be flown mainly indoors. Even though the rates are very timid, the drone flys very smoothly and responsively. The camera system is not a very usable feature for navigating due to lag and frame rate but can take some fun although choppy video. The images and videos store to your phone on the app and are easy to retrieve and view. This drone would be great for a new pilot to learn the basics of line of sight drone flying and with the resilient prop guards should be able to handle the crashes that come along with the hobby.
This is hands down the best drone I've ever had . Before I only had a couple of cheap ones that broke fairly quickly , but this drone is on an entirely different level. First off , the guards on the blades ensure they won't break . Which is entirely necessary when you're learning to fly . Secondly , the drone remains at the altitude you have set without constantly having to push up on the stick which is also very necessary because that was one of the most annoying things about my other drones. This thing flys very smoothly , my wife also gave it a try and she was able to fly it successfully and land which shows that this is very beginner friendly. I love that it comes with two batteries , and they switch out super easily. Also I'm very happy with the lasting power of the batteries. I'm very impressed with this little toy and it's hands down the best introductory drone I've ever had.
I was super excited to try this out as we always wanted to get a drone. We don’t have any experience with drones but this one was supposed to be easy to use. It came with almost everything you need. It came w a remote control, extra blades, charging cable, 2 batteries for the drone, and a screwdriver. The only thing it didn’t come with was 3 aaa batteries for the remote control. We downloaded the app because we wanted to get some video footage but then it made it seem like you had to use the app to control/drive it. So why would I want the remote control? On the app, there were more options for controlling it but they were hard to see and didn’t match where they said they would be on the app in the instructions booklet that came with it. The instructions booklet also said that if the battery glowed a solid red, it was done and fully charged, but every time I plugged them in it glowed solid red. Even after the drone quit working and was blinking to indicate low battery. We tried to steer it by using the app and that didn’t work very well so then we switched over to the remote control and that worked better but still not that good. It would go up and down but left to right not so good. It is so lightweight that any little gust of wind takes it and throws it and it just keeps going and there is not catching it until it get caught on something. The footage we were able to get was awful. Spurty, jerky, grainy video. The lens is not very wide either. It kept loosing connection to the phone, everything about it was frustrating. Save your money.
A little expensive for the size a quality. The functions are difficult to understand. The drone is so lightweight that there must be zero wind. It seems like it will break easily. It does come with two batteries, which you will need since they don't last long. I was unable to get the motion tracking to work.
I bought this for my 9 year old granddaughter. She loved it and was able to use it right away. She was able to control it very well the same day she opened it.
