Pros and Cons: What Customers Are Saying
1. Quality and Performance
The DJI Mini 4 Pro has received rave reviews for its exceptional camera quality and performance. One customer shared, "The drone bobs and weaves, but the gimballed lens makes everything look smooth. The 4K HDR footage is stunning, especially for sunrise and sunset scenes." Another user highlighted its versatility, stating, "I initially considered mounting a GoPro on an FPV drone, but this is a far better option. The obstacle avoidance is amazing—I’ve followed my granddaughter on her bike through a tree-lined path without a single issue."
However, not all experiences were flawless. One user reported a defective unit, saying, "I couldn’t get a GPS signal, and the drone was essentially a lemon. DJI support replaced it, but it was a frustrating experience."
2. Usability and Learning Curve
The DJI Mini 4 Pro is praised for its user-friendly design. A reviewer noted, "It’s super easy to learn, even for beginners. I’ve only had it for two months, and I’m already capturing professional-quality footage." Another user added, "This is technically my first drone, and it’s been incredibly intuitive to use."
On the flip side, some users found the DJI Go app unreliable on Android devices. One customer mentioned, "The app crashes frequently on Android, which can be frustrating during scenic shoots. Using an Apple device seems to solve the issue."
3. Durability and Build Quality
The drone itself is built to last, with many users reporting no issues even after months of use. One reviewer said, "I’m still on the first set of blades after two months of frequent flying. The build quality is top-notch."
However, the included accessories received mixed reviews. A customer complained, "The strobe lights melted when charged, and the backpack was poorly designed. I had to buy separate cases to protect the equipment."
4. Battery Life and Flight Time
The extended battery life is a standout feature. One user shared, "The three batteries included in the Fly More Combo ensure uninterrupted flights. I’ve never had to cut a session short due to battery anxiety."
5. Value for Money
While the DJI Mini 4 Pro is undeniably pricey, most customers agree that it’s worth the investment. A reviewer stated, "Yeah, it’s expensive, but it’s time to stop screwing around with cheaper drones that frustrate you. This one delivers on every front."
However, some users felt let down by the lack of essential accessories. One customer noted, "I had to buy a USB-C brick and cables separately, which was an unexpected expense."
Conclusion: Is the DJI Mini 4 Pro Worth It?
The DJI Mini 4 Pro Drone is a powerhouse in a compact package, offering stunning 4K HDR footage, omnidirectional obstacle sensing, and extended battery life. Its user-friendly design makes it accessible to beginners, while its advanced features cater to professionals. However, the occasional defective unit, unreliable Android app, and subpar accessories are notable drawbacks.
Final Verdict: If you’re serious about aerial photography and videography, the DJI Mini 4 Pro is a worthy investment. Just be prepared to potentially invest in additional accessories and consider using an Apple device for a smoother app experience.

Comments from Amazon:
It's amazing how quickly a person can become proficient at high quality photography and videography. The drone bobs and weaves but the gumballed lens makes it all look smooth. I initially was going to buy a 5-in FPV drone and mount a GoPro on it but this is a lot better option. I've only had the thing about 2 months and have yet to explore all the Easter eggs but each one makes me convinced I made the right decision. Yeah, it's pricey but definitely add the accessories pack to it and you're pretty much done buying stuff for it. The obstacle avoidance is amazing. I'm still on the first set of blades! It followed a 4 year old bike rider (my grand daughter) down a tree lined bike path and never got close to the tree branches that lined the path. Yeah, expensive as compared to others but isn't it about time to quit screwing around and get something that doesn't frustrate you?
super easy to learn and still working on how to make the videos better Super awesome
I got my Mini 3 pro drone today. $1400+ worth of mini 3 pro with fancy RC & fly more kit. After unpacking everything, I had to drive to Meijers to buy a recharging USB-C brick & cables since they do not come with the package.. OK, so I do that and recharge my stuff.. I then had to upgrade the firmware of the controller and aircraft.. Par for the course these days with electronics, didnt take all that long & got it done. Then, went to start everything and I cannot receive any signal from any GPS satellites. YouTube recommends a minimum of 12, and I cannot get one. Tried multiple times. Searched the web and it seems to be an unlikely issue in which the drone needs to be replaced. I lost count of the number of errors that were on the diagnostics list. Pics attached. Absolute lemon of a drone. I AM FAR BEYOND PISSED and only want my GD money back. utter BS -Update 8/25/2023, it never once spun a motor. The only thing that was was possible was to zoom the camera. Everything thing else, EVERYTHING, didnt work. Mailed it off to DJI support, took a few days to get to Texas, and their staff checked it out and apparently a replacement is on its way back.. Hindsight 20/20, I should have went to the local Best Buy as I could have driven back with it immediately.
Drone is ok but accessories came in very cheap quality not as advertised. And the Strobe Lights melted when charged :(
The DJI Mavic Pro is awesome. The photo/video quality is amazing. I love the large amount of fine tuning that can be done in the app to make the drone take the perfect videos and photos. The one complaint would be that the DJIGo app does tend to crash a lot on Android devices. Usually it's not a problem, the drone just stops in place and waits for you to relaunch the app, but if you're taking scenic video it gets a little frustrating. The work around is to use an Apple iPad or iPhone. The hard case and extra batteries are perfect for traveling. Comes with a ton of other handy extras. This is technically my first drone, unless you count the toy I got my son for Christmas that I played with more than him, but given that it's still easy to figure out and use. Be a responsible drone owner and be sure to follow the state/federal laws.
Everything but the backpack was good. Had to use another shipping box to pack the drone in the backpack until I could get separate modeled cases otherwise the items would have just been dropped into the gaping hole of the pack. Now with the separate cases for the drone, controller, and batteries everything fits nice in the pack and is easy to grab and go. Overall a good buy just know you need to do something extra to be able to carry the equipment if you don't want to damage it.
Photography of swamp scenes. It has a decent camera!
