LM12 GPS Drones with Camera for Adults 4k: A Comprehensive Review
The LM12 GPS Drone with Camera for Adults 4K is a feature-packed quadcopter designed for both beginners and experienced drone enthusiasts. With its 4K HD camera, 5G live transmission, and GPS auto-return function, this drone promises to deliver an exceptional flying experience. It also boasts a 40-minute flight time, brushless motors for stability, and advanced flight modes like Follow Me, Circle Fly, and Waypoint. But does it live up to the hype? Let’s dive into the details based on real customer experiences.
Pros and Cons: What Customers Are Saying
Quality and Build
The LM12 drone is praised for its sturdy build and durable brushless motors, which provide a quiet and powerful flight experience. One reviewer noted, "The brushless motors make this drone incredibly stable, even in light winds. It feels well-built and not flimsy like some cheaper models." However, some users found the drone to be a bit fragile, with one stating, "It’s a bit flimsy, and I worry about its durability in case of a crash."
Usability and Setup
The setup process has been a mixed bag for users. While some found it straightforward, others struggled with connectivity issues. A satisfied customer shared, "Once I figured out the joystick positions to unlock the drone, it worked like a charm. The app connection was seamless for me." On the flip side, several users reported difficulties connecting the drone to the controller or app. One frustrated reviewer said, "I spent hours trying to get the drone to connect to the controller, but it never worked. My kids were so disappointed."
Features and Performance
The LM12 drone’s advanced features are a major selling point. The 4K camera, GPS auto-return, and Follow Me mode have impressed many users. "The 4K camera takes stunning photos and videos, and the GPS auto-return is a lifesaver," raved one customer. However, the app’s functionality has been a point of contention. "The app won’t connect to the drone, which defeats the purpose of having a camera drone," complained another user.
Battery Life and Flight Time
With two batteries providing up to 40 minutes of flight time, the LM12 drone offers decent longevity. One reviewer appreciated this feature, saying, "The dual batteries are a game-changer. I can fly for a long time without worrying about recharging." However, some users noted that the actual flight time is closer to 20 minutes per battery, which is still respectable but falls short of the advertised 40 minutes.
Instruction Manual and Learning Curve
The instruction manual has been a common pain point for users. Many found it difficult to follow due to poor translation and microscopic print. "The manual is a mess. It’s obvious it was translated from Chinese, and the tiny font doesn’t help," said one reviewer. Another added, "The instructions are out of order, and I had to keep flipping back and forth to figure things out."
Value for Money
At its price point, the LM12 drone offers incredible value. "This is the least expensive GPS drone on Amazon, and it’s packed with features you’d expect from a much more expensive model," noted one happy customer. However, some users felt let down by the connectivity issues and app problems. "It’s a great deal if it works, but the app issues make it feel like a waste of money," lamented another.
Final Verdict: Is the LM12 GPS Drone Worth It?
The LM12 GPS Drone with Camera for Adults 4K is a mixed bag. On one hand, it offers an impressive array of features, including a 4K camera, GPS auto-return, and advanced flight modes, all at an affordable price. On the other hand, connectivity issues, a poorly translated manual, and occasional build quality concerns may frustrate some users.
If you’re willing to invest time in troubleshooting and learning the ropes, this drone can be a fantastic addition to your tech collection. However, if you’re looking for a plug-and-play experience, you might want to consider other options.
In conclusion, the LM12 GPS Drone is a great value for tech-savvy users who don’t mind a bit of a learning curve. For those seeking a hassle-free experience, it might be worth spending a bit more on a higher-end model.

Comments from Amazon:
This is currently the least expensive GPS drone you can buy on Amazon, and it is a pretty incredible value given its low cost. It has a lot of advanced features (e.g., motorized HD camera, return to home with adjustable altitude, optical flow stabilization) typically found on much more expensive drones, and I haven't yet had problems getting any features to work. Note, in particular, that the app connection issue mentioned by other reviewers has not occurred for me. The main downside is the microscopic print in the tiny manual, and a magnifying glass is recommended. Also, keep in mind that it's only intended to operate in very light winds. One important tip: To unlock, put the two joysticks in the 7:00 (left) and 5:00 (right) positions, and hold them there for a few seconds. I learned this by trial and error, as the illustrations in the manual showed slightly different joystick positions (7:30 and 4:30) that don't seem to work.
It is a bit flimsy and the batteries only last about 20 minutes, but otherwise works and functions exactly as described. Your video quality will depend on the quality of your network.
We love the prospect of getting this drone figured out, but I must say that we may have to admit defeat and send it back. I have a tech-savvy son who is going to give it a try first. The instructions: It's obvious that they were written in Chinese and translated to English because it has to still be deciphered. Certain instructions are out of order, and we have to continually flip back and forth from page to page to complete consecutive steps. The videos included on the downloaded app are also translated from Chinese to English, and they are very small. The computer-generated voice does not lend well to understanding.
A little complicated to calibrate but for the deal I got it for my nephew is very pleased with it.
The app will not connect to the drone... I followed all the detailed instructions and even got my phone to connect to the wifi network the drone was broadcasting. BUT when I open the app it says it's not connected. Flying the drone with the provided remote works fine but if you can't access the app there's really no point in buying this Chinese crap.
Won't connect to controller. Ordered replacement and that has connect twice but won't connect anymore
I bought 2 of these drones for my kids Christmas gift and both of the drones could not connect to the controllers. I spend hours trying to get them connect and it was never successful. There was such a disappointment on my kids faces without a working drone. Save your money, waste of time..
