Pros and Cons: What Customers Are Saying

1. Quality and Performance

  • Smooth Flight Experience: The drone’s omnidirectional obstacle sensing and APAS 5.0 technology ensure safe and stable flights, even in complex environments.
  • Impressive Flight Time: With a 43-minute max flight time, users appreciate the extended shooting opportunities without frequent battery swaps.

Cons:

  • Gimbal Protector Issues: Some users find the gimbal protector difficult to attach, which can be a minor annoyance during setup.
  • Structural Nitpicks: Folding the drone’s arms can sometimes cause them to scrape against the body, which feels less premium than expected.

2. Usability and Features

Pros:

  • Versatile Camera System: The triple-camera setup allows for creative flexibility, with options for 3x optical zoom, 7x optical zoom, and 28x hybrid zoom.

Cons:

  • DJI Go App Reliability: Some users report occasional glitches with the DJI Go app, which can be frustrating during critical moments.

Pros:

  • Robust Build: The drone itself is well-constructed and can withstand regular use in various conditions.
  • Comprehensive Bundle: The Fly More Combo includes 3 batteries, a charging hub, ND filters, and a hard case, offering excellent value for money.
  • Useful Extras: The landing pad and waterproof backpack are practical additions, though opinions on their quality vary.

Comments from Amazon:

I am a professional real estate photographer and this was a need to add to my system

I ordered this bundle and received it 4 days earlier than predicted, what a great thing! Okay, admittedly I am a DJI Fan Boy as I was using this model drone for the last year which was supplied by my company and absolutely loved flying this drone. I am a professional real estate photographer and this was a need to add to my system. I thought the price was very good considering the drone from DJI was $1799 alone. Adding the extra batteries from DJI would have been more than this package so I decided to order this bundle. Going in, I knew that several of these items would be junk so I was pleasantly surprised with the whole bundle. Pros: • The Drone is great as I knew it would be from experience. It flies well and responds quickly. • Flight time is normal with the one battery, about 25 minutes with no wind. • Control response is perfect, although I will have to reset the Yaw and Pitch response as I expected. • 2 bags, one of which was a cheap backpack. I will use it for something, but the other was the DJI “Fly More” bag…cool little bag for short outings. • 1 super nice hard case which fits the drone, controller, all 3 batteries, the filter case, and a charger. • 3 batteries… I cannot tell you what that means if you are on an important project. • 4 filters in a hard case. I have not used these yet but the quality seems very good. • A lot of propellers. I think there are 2 complete sets. But I did not count them yet but was surprised to find 4 in the Fly More bag. • A landing pad with stakes. Folds up like a photo reflector or sunshade. • Lens cleaner solution bottle. • Lens cloth • 4 Battery charger…WHAT? Yep its great! • 2 sets of control sticks. • Includes a small bag that the propellers, extra cable, and landing gear extensions will fit in. Cons: • The landing pad is more difficult to fold up than I thought it would be, it is VERY stiff. I looked like a monkey doing a math problem! 😊 • The tablet/phone holder is cheap plastic but will work. I already have a nice metal one I bought on Amazon. • The Backpack is cheap and is made from thin material. Summary. You cannot go wrong if you purchase this bundle and it is highly recommended.

I had never flown a drone and was flying it the second day (after I read all instructions, unboxed everything, watched some videos, etc

I can't say enough about this drone. I had never flown a drone and was flying it the second day (after I read all instructions, unboxed everything, watched some videos, etc.). It was so easy to fly but there is a lot that it can do so take it slow and go cautiously at first. I have never come close to crashing so far. The RTH n(return to home works perfectly but be sure to calibrate the compass first and every once in a while. Use tripod mode at first for slower smoother moves to get used to the controls. Just release the sticks and it will hover in place if you get in trouble. Also be sure to set the RTH altitude higher than any obstructions it may encounter flying home as it will first rise to that height before coming home. RTH works if the drone is at least about 60 feet away from the home point. I just bought a Marco Polo locator for long range flights in case of a run away just for peace of mind. Marco Polo is the only one that doesn't require cell towers so good anywhere. The fly more package is worth it just for the 3 batteries (which you'll be glad you have) if not for all the other goodies. I'm using a cell connected Mini Ipad that works great with the included holder. BTW the camera is incredible especially the 4K videos just the best on a prosumer drone. I can digitally zoom or crop in post because of the quality so I'm glad I got the 2 Pro and not the Zoom

The bag is okay but the rest is fairly optional

In all honesty, aside from the two extra batteries, I wasn't entirely wowed by the Fly More kit for the Mavic 2. The bag is okay but the rest is fairly optional. This particular bundle wisely sweetens the deal with add-ons like a handy landing pad and a 64GB SD card (with the necessary speed for recording in 4K, no less!) at no additional cost, making it a considerably more enticing offer. There is absolutely no reason to buy the normal Fly More bundle instead of this. As for the drone itself, it's pure joy. There are small structural flaws, of course. The gimbal protector is a pain to attach. The back arms awkwardly scrape against the drone when being folded up. And, of course, the DJI Go app remains kind of an unreliable mess. But pretty much all my issues with it are nitpicks. It's pure joy to use. It flies swiftly and smoothly out to great distances, takes gorgeous photos and video, and has a generous flight time (though I would still recommend getting extra batteries - the estimated 31 minute capacity is strictly under laboratory conditions). You might consider just buying the drone itself and a couple extra batteries, which comes out to a smaller cost than the bundle, but either way, the Mavic 2 is a real marvel. A small warning: The charging hub is kind of convenient, I suppose, but it charges batteries in sequence, not simultaneously. It is nice that it moves to the next one automatically, and also prioritizes maxing out the highest-charged battery first, and it is also nice that it has a little fold-out cable to charge the remote. But not counting the time you avoid having to spend switching batteries, its impact on how long it takes to charge them all up is minimal.
