DEERC D20 Mini Drone with Camera for Kids, Remote Control Toys Gifts for Boys Girls with Voice Control, Gestures Selfie, Altitude Hold, Gravity Control, One Key Start, 3D Flips 2 Batteries, Blue

The DEERC D20 Mini Drone with Camera is a compact, feature-packed drone designed for kids and beginners. With its 720P HD camera, voice control, gesture selfie, altitude hold, and 3D flips, this drone promises an exciting flying experience. It’s lightweight, portable, and comes with two modular batteries for extended playtime. But does it live up to the hype? Let’s dive into the details based on real customer experiences.

Pros and Cons: What Customers Are Saying

Ease of Use and Beginner-Friendly Features

One of the standout features of the DEERC D20 is its simplicity. Many users, including parents, praised how easy it is for kids to operate. The one-key start/landing and altitude hold functions make flying smooth and hassle-free, even for first-time pilots. A reviewer mentioned, "My 4-year-old was able to use the controller on his own, and the look on his face when he got it to do a flip was priceless!"

However, some users noted that the phone app controls were laggy and not as intuitive as they’d hoped. One user said, "The app controls and video feed were so laggy that it felt like a waste of time and battery life." While the drone itself is beginner-friendly, the app experience could use some improvement.

Camera Quality: Fun but Limited

The 720P HD camera is a nice addition for capturing aerial shots, but it’s not without its flaws. Many users found the camera quality to be underwhelming, especially for video. One reviewer described it as "terrible, like first-generation flip phone cameras." Another pointed out that the camera wasn’t even centered properly in the housing, which affected the image quality.

That said, the gesture selfie and FPV (First Person View) features were a hit among younger users. "My nephew loved taking selfies with the drone using hand gestures—it’s a fun feature for kids," shared one customer. While the camera isn’t professional-grade, it’s sufficient for casual use and adds an extra layer of entertainment.

Durability and Build Quality

The DEERC D20 is designed with kids in mind, and its durability reflects that. Several users mentioned how robust the drone is, even after multiple crashes. "We crashed it into walls, trees, and fences repeatedly, and it only broke one propeller," said one parent. The included propeller guards also help protect the drone and prevent injuries.

However, some users reported issues with the battery tray and plastic molding. One reviewer noted, "The battery tray doesn’t align properly, so inserting the battery requires a forceful push." Another mentioned that the plastic molding didn’t fit well, causing parts to separate during use. While these issues didn’t ruin the experience, they did detract from the overall quality.

Flight Performance and Battery Life

The DEERC D20 performs well in calm conditions, with stable flight and minimal drifting. Users appreciated the 3D flips and gravity control features, which added excitement to the flying experience. "The flips and rolls are a huge hit with my kids—they never get tired of watching the drone perform stunts," shared one customer.

However, the drone struggles in windy conditions. "It has zero wind resistance. If there’s even a slight breeze, it’ll get blown away," warned one user. Additionally, the battery life is decent but not exceptional. Each battery lasts about 10-15 minutes, depending on usage. While the inclusion of two batteries helps extend playtime, frequent charging is still necessary.

Accessories and Packaging

The DEERC D20 comes with a generous set of accessories, including two batteries, a USB charging cable, a screwdriver, and spare propellers. Users appreciated the thoughtful packaging and the reusable box, which makes storage and transport convenient. "The manual is clear and detailed, and the extra parts are a nice touch," said one reviewer.

Conclusion: Is the DEERC D20 Worth It?

The DEERC D20 Mini Drone with Camera is a fun, affordable option for kids and beginners. Its ease of use, durable design, and entertaining features like 3D flips and gesture selfies make it a hit with younger users. However, it’s not without its flaws. The camera quality is mediocre, the app controls can be laggy, and the drone struggles in windy conditions.

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly drone to introduce kids to the world of flying, the DEERC D20 is a solid choice. Just keep your expectations realistic—it’s a toy drone, not a professional-grade device. As one reviewer aptly put it, "It’s an awesome tool to learn drone controls and crash something you won’t feel bad about destroying."

Final Verdict:

  • Pros: Easy to use, durable, fun features, great for beginners.
  • Cons: Mediocre camera, laggy app, poor wind resistance.

Would I recommend it? Yes, especially for kids and first-time drone enthusiasts. Just don’t expect it to compete with higher-end models.

The one-key start and altitude hold make flying smooth, and the controls are very responsive

I got this drone as a gift for my nephew, and he absolutely loves it! It’s super easy to use, even for beginners. The one-key start and altitude hold make flying smooth, and the controls are very responsive. The camera quality is surprisingly good for a mini drone, and the gesture selfie feature is a fun touch! I also appreciate that it comes with two batteries, so the fun doesn’t have to stop too soon. The 3D flips are a huge hit, and the voice control feature adds an extra layer of excitement. Overall, this is a fantastic little drone that’s perfect for kids and even adults who just want a fun flying experience. Highly recommend!

It is easy to control, the flips are very entertaining, and the features are incredible

Though I have not yet tried out the camera, the drone itself is wonderful. It is easy to control, the flips are very entertaining, and the features are incredible. I read in other reviews that it would take off and immediately fly in one direction, causing it to crash. This is simply a calibration issue, and is easily avoided by calibrating the gyro (as specified in the instructions) before flying for the first time. I cannot stress how important it is to do this on flat ground, as improper calibration will lead to the drone flying quite fast in the direction the slant you calibrated the drone on. (I found this out the hard way.) It is very compact and portable, and I love how it includes prop guards that are removable. I am excited to try out the app and to continue flying this awesome drone. Worth every penny.

The functions on the phone app were not the best, and flying the drone using the phone was not as fun as I would’ve expected

Overview The D20 is a very nice drone, and for its price, it is very good. The functions on the phone app were not the best, and flying the drone using the phone was not as fun as I would’ve expected. The first person view (FPV) camera is okay but it was quite laggy. The drone is very nice and very stable, barely drifting at all. Overall it’s a nice drone; I would rate this 8/10 stars. The Drone This drone is fun to fly and is easy to operate. I have flown it a couple weeks, both indoors and outdoors, and enjoy it. The camera resolution is as expected for this price range; it would be nice to see that improve. The design seems a bit bland and it could use some enhancement - like having different color options. The drone is very responsive and easy to control. I would rate this one 9/10. Controller The controller has a nice feel to it and is labeled very clearly. I like the unfolding design, but the looks are plain and could be improved. The movement is very clean just like the HS100G, and is very responsive. I didn’t like how you have to hold some buttons down for two seconds in order to do certain functions. For example, in order to do a flip, you have to hold down a button for two seconds. Instead, there should be additional buttons so that all functions are readily available, and happen immediately. I was somewhat disappointed with the phone app. I found it quite laggy, and didn’t work as well as I would’ve hoped. I would rate the remote 6/10 stars. Packing and Accessories I like how Holy Stone doesn’t cut corners. They always provide extra parts, even including a nice mini-screwdriver to help if you need to make some repairs or replace a damaged part. It was great that two batteries were supplied, and I found that the batteries lasted pretty well, each lasting about 10 minutes. The manual is very clear and includes lots of details, like how to fly the drone. The box was packed very well and was nice and tidy. Also, I like the reusable box too. I was thinking maybe a handle should be added to it. Overall, this part is 5/5 Stars.

It flew easily for my brother (17 year old)

I think this was a great purchase. It flew easily for my brother (17 year old). He seemed like a pro after the first fly, which was in the house. He took it outside in the back yard, the next day and flew it through the trees so far that he could not see it. Good bye drone. It was easy to connect the camera to the phone through the app. He was irresponsible in flying it but it was great for the seconds he used it.

My 4 year old and I crashed ours a lot into the house, trees, fences etc, Like over and over again for a week, and only broke one propeller

Pro: easy to use Fairly robust for what it is. My 4 year old and I crashed ours a lot into the house, trees, fences etc, Like over and over again for a week, and only broke one propeller. Price Great fun if you can use it inside its limitations. Pretty easy to use controller that even my 4 year old was able to use on his own. The look on my sons face when he gets it to do a flip or roll is just awesome. Con: You get what you pay for, and this is 1/8 the price of a entry level DJI. Read that again and let it sink in. The plastic molding doesn't line up well and ours had to get snapped back together a lot. Just one spot by the battery but it would separate and cause issues with the drone until we snapped it back together. The battery and battery tray don't line up properly so getting them to go in was always a forceful push rather than sliding it in and snapping in place. The camera is terrible. like lets go back to the first flip phones with a camera terrible. Our camera wasn't even centered in the camera housing. Its like they just dropped it in and glued it in place. Theres no cover over the lens or anything. The app controls and video are so laggy its just a waste of time and battery life to use it. I was using it on a Pixel 6 Pro. Battery life of each battery is maybe 11 minutes on low power and maybe 3-5 minutes on high power. NO wind resistance. ZERO. Keep this thing below your fence line or it will fly away with the breeze. Ours has been blown all over the neighborhood and finally got swept away to somewhere that we can't find it. Conclusion: Overall I think the drone is oversold as something better quality than it is. Look, its a toy drone that holds its own in that right but its not by any means any competition for a DJI, Autel, etc. Don't buy it for the camera or if you don't have a nearly wind-free place to fly it. If you want to play inside I think there are other ones that have the 360 degree prop protectors built in and have the fun lights and stuff that might be better to look at. It's an awesome tool to learn drone controls and crash something you won't feel bad about destroying. Would I buy it again? Probably. Either this one, the DEERC D23 or the Ryze Tello.

One complete charge of battery is giving around 6 minutes of endurance

The product is of very fine quality. One complete charge of battery is giving around 6 minutes of endurance. The manual (instructions for use) is comprehensive.

 Die Drohne ist super verarbeite
t und bietet eine praktische Tasche mit allem Zubehör

Was soll ich sagen.
