Drone Flying Cars Quadcopter Gift Toy: A Fun Dual-Mode RC Experience
Looking for a unique toy that combines the thrill of flying and driving? The Drone Flying Cars Quadcopter Gift Toy by XCRCFUN might just be what you need. This innovative toy offers a dual-mode experience, allowing users to switch between a remote-controlled car and a drone with just one button. With features like 360° flips, LED lights, and speed control, it promises endless fun for kids and beginners alike. But does it live up to the hype? Let’s dive into the details based on real customer experiences.
Pros and Cons: What Customers Are Saying
Quality and Durability
The Drone Flying Cars Quadcopter is designed to be lightweight and portable, weighing just 120 grams. However, its durability has been a mixed bag for users.
-
Pros
Many customers appreciate the toy’s affordability and the inclusion of extra wings and batteries. One reviewer mentioned, "It’s an inexpensive drone, but great for its price range. Fun, easy to use, works perfectly." The LED lights add a cool visual element, especially during nighttime play. -
Cons
On the flip side, some users reported issues with durability. A parent noted, "It’s fun but hard to drive and fly, so it crashes a lot, and the wings chip. The wheels might also come off and can get lost easily." While the extra wings are a nice touch, frequent crashes can be frustrating for younger users.
Usability and Functionality
The dual-mode feature is the highlight of this toy, but it’s not without its challenges.
-
Pros
Many users found the drone easy to operate, especially for beginners. One happy customer shared, "Easy to fly with a button push. Works great inside and out. The drone is lightweight, colorful, and gets a lot more height than expected." The headless mode and one-key takeoff/landing features make it accessible for younger kids. -
Cons
Switching between car and drone modes isn’t as seamless as advertised. A reviewer pointed out, "Not easy to transfer from drive mode to fly mode and vice versa. When in drive mode, it’s not really driving with the wheels—it’s actually hovering just enough to look like driving." Additionally, some users struggled with connectivity issues. One parent shared, "My husband and father spent 45 minutes trying to get the remote to connect to the drone, but it wouldn’t work despite following all instructions."
Battery Life and Performance
The toy comes with two 600mAh batteries, which is a nice bonus for extended playtime.
-
Pros
Customers appreciated the dual batteries, as they allow for longer play sessions. One reviewer said, "My son stays entertained for as long as the battery lasts!" The LED lights also help with navigation during nighttime flights. -
Cons
While the battery life is decent, some users wished for longer runtime. The toy’s lightweight design also makes it less stable in windy conditions, which can affect performance outdoors.
Age Appropriateness and Entertainment Value
This toy is marketed for ages 14+, but many parents found it suitable for younger kids with supervision.
-
Pros
Several customers praised the toy’s ability to keep kids engaged. One parent shared, "It’s a gift for a 6-year-old boy, and it has been so wonderful. It took him a few tries to get the hang of it, but he loves it!" The 360° flips and speed switch add an extra layer of excitement. -
Cons
Younger kids might need help with the initial setup and mode switching. Additionally, the toy’s fragility can be a downside for rough play.
Final Verdict: Is It Worth It?
The Drone Flying Cars Quadcopter Gift Toy is a fun and affordable option for kids and beginners who want to explore the world of RC toys. Its dual-mode functionality, LED lights, and 360° flips make it an entertaining choice for indoor and outdoor play. However, it’s not without its flaws. The durability could be improved, and the mode-switching feature isn’t as smooth as advertised. Connectivity issues and fragile parts may also be a concern for some users.
If you’re looking for a budget-friendly toy that offers a unique combination of flying and driving, this could be a great pick—especially for younger kids who are just starting with RC toys. Just be prepared for a bit of a learning curve and handle it with care to avoid frequent crashes.
Overall, it’s a solid choice for its price range, but don’t expect high-end performance or durability. For the price, it delivers plenty of fun and entertainment, making it a worthwhile addition to any toy collection.

Not easy to transfer from drive mode to fly mode and vise versa. When in drive mode it's not really driving with the wheels it actually hovering just enough so it looks like you are driving but you are just flying very close to the ground.
Gift for a 6 years old boy and it has been so wonderful. It took him a few tries to get the hang of it but he stays entertained for as long as the battery lasts!
My 10 year old was overjoyed to purchase this drone. Upon arrival, my husband (an aircraft mechanic) and my father (an engineer and pilot) spent 45 minutes trying to get the remote to connect to the drone. Despite following all instructions and troubleshooting, it wouldn't connect. Our son is extremely disappointed, to say the least.
This is an inexpensive drone, but great for its price range. Fun, easy to use, works perfectly. No negatives. Not super quality, but you'll pay a lot more for that.
Easy to fly with a button pushing. Works great inside and out. Drone is light weight, colorful and gets a lot more height than expected. Would definitely purchase again.
It’s fun but hard to drive and fly so it crashes a lot and the wing chip but it comes with extra wings. The wheels might also come off and can get lost easily.
My son loved it.
